I thought i would have a philisophical post here, i thought id write a poem, let you inside my...lulz jks.
POINT 3
- My host families have changed 3 times since i last posted i think, i have been to a house in Katsutadai, near the train station where i used to get a bus to school, wicked niec family, had a key to the house, was in the front room so didnt matter if i came home super late. Older brother, younger brother, parents. Brother are in a band, the elder one is studying english literature at Uni, their band is actually really good, they are on youtube if you are curious but i cant find the link, will post another time (Its called `The Apple Pie'). Went to karaoke with parents and brothers and random drunk teachers and many a fun time were had.
-Next family was nice, but i wasnt incredibly comfortable there, i had no key to the house, and as a result i spent many days sitting outside for over an hour waiting to get inside, or when i went out the host dad would wait up till i got home, so i couldnt get home late :S I also had no proper curtains in my room, and the sun comes up here at like 5 o clock so i always had terrible sleeps. The family was pretty nice though, i didnt connect with the brother at all because of the age difference, hes only in year 8 or 9, and the younger sis was 12 i think. Parents were nice, dad spoke fluent english and i went to the gym with him sometimes. Mum seemed nice but never seemed overly friendly with me, got weird vibes from here sometimes, anyway not the best family ive had but only in comparison.
-Current family is super cool, super nice, super win. Parents, older and younger brother and a sister who is the eldest. Parents have good english, the mums is the best and very fluent, sister is next best who has been to countless places around the world, the mum plays competitive badminton :S older brother plays soccer and has bad english, although he is going to america so it should improve, younger brother has pretty good english and is improving through school study. I have my own room, the internet, a key to the house, i cant complain at all and i am becoming good friends with the kids, life is good.
-As i said ive had a lot of time to re-evaluate myself, and one of the things i decided to change was my body, as some of you will know i was quite built 2 years ago, strong, weighed about 80 kilos, lean, fast and fit. A year of bad eating, and a somewhat crippling (gym wise) elbow inujury sent me very far backwards. After seeing a picture made by Carl i've decided i want that back, i weighed myself on the 24th of April, and decided some big changed were in order. I weighed in at 74kilos :S
So I kicked my gym sessions up from 3 days a week to 6 days a week. I started eating a LOT more, im eating a lot of eggs, organising my carbs into different parts of the day and have adopted much better eating habits. Im working hard on every muscle now, as before i neglected legs, and back. As of 2 days ago i weighed 81.65kgs, with a body fat percentage of 10.1%. For those of you who think im just getting fat, 2 months ago on may 24th i was 78.8 kilos and 11.3%. Feeling stronger than ive ever felt, healthier than ever too, im done wishing my body was better, im achieving it.
-So things are going well, if you ware curious about anything please let me know, work is the same, my japanese is steadily improving, and ill catchya all later, im not saying ill update this regularly, but theres a distincy possiblity that i might.

So yeah about that Blog that i was regularly updating...
That totally never carried on did it :P
So yeah as a recap in the few months i spent dilligently not posting any information whatsoever, for my very dutiful 2 fans, i shall provide a list, lists are fun :D
-Number 1 is that my English skills are steadily deteriorating, so if im talking to
you in some way and im not making any sense at all, its because in order to learn a new language, i have to forget some of my old one to make room.
-I quit Facebook... :O OMG Rob you'll be back, no one truly leaves Facebook (Michael David Barret looking specifically at your failed attempts). Facebook fosters a sense that i need to have every aspect of my life documented, scrutinised and approved by my friends and their friends (depending on your account security settings of course). Regardless of what you say have a good, hard think about it and you know its true, social networking sites steadily eat away at any confidence many individuals may have in themselves, as they become entranced by meaningless strings of comments, 'likes' and the ridiculous social barricades and complexities all of this rubbish creates. How many of you have had a little smile inside as you saw your tiny blue globe light up with a little red '1'?
I have had a significant amount of time here to re-evaluate myself since i came here, and the thought process i followed while using the site apalled me.
I want to post a photo album :D Why do you want to do that Rob?
Well so my friends can see of course :) But why do you want them to see? You know you exactly how much fun you had or did not have, you know what you experienced, the sights, the sounds, the events which are so crudely and inaptly captured in a still picture, so really, why?
Because i want to..fell accepted? I want a compliment, a like, i want the acceptance that i already have, written down and digitally delivered so i can qualm my fears.
N.B. Thats not to say that everyone is like this, there are extremes in every case, and also very mild users, i would consider myself a mild user when i quit, and i respect all those who use it with none of these thoughts running through their mind. Even though my words may seem extreme, think on the the next time you are posting.
N.B.B. People with self shots, so MANY SELFSHOTS. You know exactly who you are. You are the bane of my existence. 'Oh look a party!?! Lets get ready and party!! OMG lets take 80 F%&'ing self shots as we get ready so everyone knows we are getting ready! OMG were at the party lets take self shots just in case people forget we were here!'

Nuther Post
Thought id drop a post just to say hi and let my 1 loyal fans know whats happening. Ill post the pictures from my last ones to now in a few days, and post the link in a new post.
Things run on as usual, have just come back from holidays to a rainy, tiring and relatively entertaining day. Last week and a bit of school was half days, just to like 12, and i had all the joys of
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
I literally came to school, sat down playing games, studying and surfing the web for like 10 days, it was super retarded. The week before that was exams...so the same thing was happening, i`d go to the gym or something with morgan sometimes but otherwise it was rather lame.
It`s still raining

like all the time
So i`ve actually used an umbrella seriously for the first time, no longer are they novel instruments of fencing, no sah! They are for protecting oneself from the harsh rains of Japan, shops have umbrella-doms which is pretty cool, you slide the umbrella into a slot and it comes out the side with a plastic sheeth, it was kinda long and hard to do, and i had to yank it a few times, but it came out in the end and i was pretty releived.
Sophie came over for 13 days and left yesterday, we went all over the shop to Tokyo and Chiba and god knows what regional tows we ended up in trying to get places :S Ive never bought so much from a convenience store, the ones her sell entire meals and fried chicken and cheap alcohol and other wonderful things, like cheap alcohol and fried chicken.
We went to a spa and stuff but im leave it to her to add as it was her trip, hit you up laterz.

Another post
Ive asked a few people over the last few days and have found out just today that they dont really have post offices here, you cant go in and buy an international parcel and write on it and they send it or anything. What i have to do apparently is find any random box to put it in, put your address on the top and find one of the little post shops around, give it to them and they will ask what kind of mail to send it as and send it for me. The classes i have are going well, i am having my last lessons with most of them. For my senior classes we have been playing bingo, where you ask someone a question in english and if the answer satisfies the question then you write their name in the square. I did interviews last week with the junior high school and asked them a set of questions like who was in their family and when they were born and stuffs. This week they are asking morgan, brian and i questions like a reverse interview, but any random questions they can think of. They also asked if i have seen birds since i got here...i have only seen a few actually. I havent seen any animals but dogs and cats. Morgan and i went to a class yesterday and we were talking about australia, and i drew a picture of an emu with morgan riding it, and it had big teeth and talons. Im confident enough they wont be visiting very soon.

I dont know if i mentioned this but seatbelts arent mandatory in the cars here, and my host families people mover has a 7in LCD in the front and one in the roof. Its a touch screen and works with the cd player, the gps, and it has TV.

More Japping
It Snowed! Again! Not enough for it to settle on the ground but it seemed very keen on settling on my fine suit. I have 2 classes today as there is a sports carnival (indoors) for the senior high school, grade 1 (or year 10). So im just hanging around..doing very little, might go play ping pong later. Things are going really well with the fam, they are having a meeting soon to decide whether they are going to keep me for longer than 1 month, as that is the base amount that a family has to keep us for if they sign up for the billeting program. the youngest daughter has called me her older brother a few times now, because i have been letting her use my laptop for games at night after dinner and being the EP1C nice person that i am, it was so sweet to hear :) She had a friend over named maiko or something like that, who i met the other day. I have to stoop to go from the kitchen to the loungeroom, so when i straightened up she just goes :O I said hello and all she could do was smile really widely, she did that a lot for the next few hours :P. The family has had troubles with their computer, so they enlisted my help, as i had earlier carefully explained how awesome i am at fixing them.
1 /-\ /\/\ 1337!! Is what i exclaimed, their minds were blown to be honest. They had no anti virus and so had heaps of viruses and spyware on the computer, and they hadnt maintained it at all so it was heavily fragmented. So i installed a few programs and set to work fixing it. There were about 1600 spyware programs and maybe 20 dangerous viruses, so all in all a good days work, they were very grateful.

More info
In the last few days i have been slowly acclimatising myself to the country, and the climate. It has started warming up again (SO AWESOME) So i dont have to wear 4 or 5 layers anymore, and the snow melted finally, thats always nice.
I am getting the train and bus to school on my own for a week because my host brother Taizo is in nagasaki for a week long school trip, Which is a little daunting but im getting used to it. It was his birthday yesterday, and i have no money, so i gave him one of my favourite shirts *sad face* the grey one with the picture of the people painting, its all greyscale with the guys sunglasses in bright orange. He was pretty happy with that so its all good :P
Im not doing too badly injuries wise but there are still some danger areas for those over 5ft 10in
Namely:
-The rails along the roof to hold onto on the train, and the doors of the train, and the ads in the train, and the rings which hang from the rails to hold onto on the train.
-The kitchen and the bathroom at my homestay.
-Any house that isnt my homestay seems to have doors which are just above my shoulder height
I havent actually worn anything other than my formal suit since i got here :S Because everyone at school wears a suit..and i brought nice jackets and stuff to wear to work. And all of the doors here slide save for the bathroom doors and doors to small rooms.
I have NOT eaten a bad meal sinec we got here.
My family had a `welcome to the family` party for me 2 nights ago. And that got:
-A massive sashimi platter
-A smaller sushi platter
-A huge costco pizza
-Coke to drink
-krispy creme donuts
-Ice cream cake (taizo`s birthday)
-An awesome caeser salad thing, but the japanse eqivalent
After dinner we played russian roulette with sashimi and wasabi, the father went out and out a huge line of wasabi onto 2 pieces, except it wasnt very well hidden so he and the mother got the wasabi, and it was understandably humorous when the mother was taping the father reaction, and then froze as she realised her own predicament.
Sinec there was still sashimi left we played scissors paper rock (jakenpo (jar~ken~po) and when you lost you had to eat a piece.
Saturday night morgan and i went to a restaurant which has really good food, but most importantly had all you can drink for an hour and a half for 15 bucks. Needless to say it was good, we went from there to a live band house, which was lame as the music was really soft, although there was a very funny trashed japanese man to talk to. Much fun was had and i ended the night with 7 whole yen.
